SENIOR ASSOCIATE – LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / URBAN DESIGNER

If you are practicing successfully now as a Registered Landscape Architect / Urban Designer, but are ready for more personal responsibility, professional challenge, rewarding project opportunities and practice management involvement, we would like to talk to you urgently.

Our Seniors/Associates are vital players in all components of our professional services, internally in practice management and externally in client relations. Accordingly, you will need to demonstrate a wide range of competence and skill in return for a high level of satisfaction, progression and increasing reward.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

– Client and staff management with primary contact and program control
– Facility with staff direction, consultant liaison and junior staff mentoring
– Office organisation, budget and project administration

REQUIREMENTS:

– a practical instinct for business development
– a recognised qualification in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design
– a significant period of project experience encompassing scale and diversity
– understanding of the legal and financial framework of private practice
– Registration, and commitment to AILA or other relevant Institute activities
– Involvement in industry groups and landscape course support activities

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT – 5-8 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Start your new year with a creative move. CLOUSTON invites applications for several permanent positions in our Sydney studio.

People joining CLOUSTON are professionals committed to Landscape Architecture – and to delivering the best of it for our clients. You will need to be attentive and purposeful in helping us service their projects creatively and economically.

We work together with a diverse range of architects, engineers, developers, parks managers and community groups, all with different expectation of Landscape. You will, therefore, need to be a good listener and communicator, able to think logically and, importantly write clearly.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

On a day-to-day basis, being involved with any of our Portfolio teams or servicing Darwin or Gold Coast office projects, you must be competent with CAD, but also confident to sketch an idea, ready to hand render a drawing, knock up a simple model, or dart out to check an urgent site issue. Adaptability and willingness are key.

REQUIREMENTS:

– an appropriate qualification in Landscape or Urban Design
– 5-8 years professional experience for a quick start up
– Australian Residency or a long term work visa
– Professional registration would be an advantage
