CENTRAL COAST HIGHWAY UPGRADE

NSW

CLOUSTON’s landscape analysis and designs were central to this project, which addressed two kilometres of the busy roadway running through an existing suburb on the NSW Central Coast, near Wyong.

The road was widened from a two-lane rural highway to a six-lane highway with bus priority lanes and frontage roads, requiring significant land acquisition. The new alignment follows an undulating ridgeline, and CLOUSTON’s key contributions to the project were developing a split-carriageway solution, balancing cut and fill, minimising visual impacts and maintaining amenity through the central planted median.
