DISCOVERY POINT

Arncliffe, NSW

Discovery Point provided an extraordinary range of urban design challenges and opportunities.  Central to this was the restoration of the landscape for the historic Tempe House and St Magdalenes Chapel.  Defined by a heroic arc of buildings, the 2.3Ha river front Park is now the focal point of Discovery Point.

The masterplan also included an urban plaza for Wolli Creek station and a waterfront promenade to the mangrove lined Cooks River.

Since CLOUSTON’s role in achieving an approved masterplan DA in the year 2000, we have undertaken design development, documentation and construction administration for:

  • Landscape settings to two major buildings, Greenbank and Verge by Cox Richardson.
  • Streetscape infrastructure to the Princes Highway and residential streets.
  • Restored Riverfront Parkland setting to Tempe House and St Magdalenes Chapel.
  • Vegetation management and heritage restoration for Mt Olympus.
