MACLEAN RIVERSIDE PRECINCT PLAN

This revitalisation project sought to invigorate the historic town centre of Maclean and re-establish its connection to the famous Clarence River.

CLOUSTON Associates collaborated with the consultant team to develop key design principles that set the structure for the plan, including the establishment of view corridors, the creation of continuous connections and a loop along the river, and the provision of river recreation facilities and a focal public events space at the water’s edge.

To assist in the plan’s application, an implementation strategy set out priority works and cost implications within short-, medium- and long-term timeframes, while funding initiatives, design controls and management structures have also been recommended.
