SHEPHERDS BAY WATERFRONT

Meadowbank, NSW

Formerly occupied by an extensive council depot, this prime site located on the Parramatta River has now been transformed into a popular foreshore parkland. It provides a critical waterfront pedestrian and cycle link with access to launch canoes and boats. Punctuated by sculptural gateways and artworks, the project has brought the river into broader community focus. CLOUSTON was first involved in this site in 1993 preparing the Master Plan and subsequently with Council over more than 15 years to design various stages of its implementation in concert with the adjoining urban redevelopment.
