SPRINGBROOK NATIONAL PARK

Gold Coast, Qld

Part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, Springbrook National Park is one of the Gold Coast’s most valuable natural assets. It is an important tourism and nature-based recreation destination for domestic and international visitors. CLOUSTON Associates prepared a feasibility study to locate a Visitor Information Centre on behalf of Gold Coast City Council.

CLOUSTON carried out a comprehensive analysis to identify the best locations for a staffed visitor Information Centre. Recommendations for signage and improved tourist facilities on the journey up the mountain were also provided.

Detailed options were prepared for the Wunburra Lookout site.  These considered site layout and architectural outcomes.  Full costings and a business case scenario were developed.
