Fig Lane Park

Community park in the heart of the city

CLOUSTON Associates designed this small community park over a freeway cutting in Sydney’s inner city. Following extensive community feedback, Fig Lane Park was created as a suite of courts surrounding a raised central lawn known as The Paddock. For 25 years we’ve undertaken regular park audits with the City of Sydney – evaluating the overall condition, understanding community’s observations, and calculating carbon sequestration. Fig Lane Park has proven a community mainstay – a much-loved daily focal point for the highly diverse people of Ultimo.
