UrbanGrowth NSW appointed CLOUSTON to design preliminary concepts for new public domain spaces which will preserve the site’s existing parkland character, providing an appropriate setting to the significant collection of heritage buildings. Proposed recreational amenities will service new residents and visitors with new play spaces, open spaces, river walks, BBQ and outdoor dining areas as well as new high quality streetscapes with generous tree planting. An active and engaging public domain is envisaged for Parramatta North with an emphasis on the pedestrian / cycle experience. All proposals are subject to recommendations from detailed archaeological field research and Conservation Management Plans.
